What BC Transit (Victoria) asks for

  • BC Transit provides a paid, seven-week training program and supports new transit operators to earn a Class 2 commercial licence with air brakes. (source)
  • You need at least a valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence (or out-of-province equivalent); if you don’t hold a commercial licence, you must have a Class 2 learner’s licence by your first day of employment. (source)
  • Applicants without a commercial licence need two years’ non-learner driving experience. (source)
  • Your five-year claims summary may show no more than one at-fault claim, and your driver’s abstracts no more than one violation totalling no more than four points. (source)
