What ETS asks for
- Applicants need a valid Alberta Class 5 licence or higher (non-probationary and non-graduated) that they have held for the last five consecutive years. (source)
- A five-year commercial driver’s abstract must show no more than three demerits and no more than one moving violation in the last five years. (source)
- The hiring process includes an online map-reading assessment, and ETS advises becoming familiar with local landmarks and directions. (source)
- ETS offers a 29-day paid training program; before it, candidates must get an Alberta air brake endorsement and a Class 2 knowledge/road test permit. (source)
