Adapt this to your invitation
This is a study routine, not a claim about any agency’s syllabus. Remove topics the employer does not test and add any it explicitly requires. If your notice concerns a licence examination, use the official licensing curriculum instead.
- Day 1 — collect the instructions. Record the test name, time, location, required identification and permitted materials. Identify the employer and current official sources.
- Day 2 — read for accuracy. Work through a short notice. Highlight direction, dates and exceptions. Explain each answer from the supplied text.
- Day 3 — maps and direction. If relevant to your assessment, trace a local route in both directions. Identify destination signs, timepoints and connections.
- Day 4 — timetables and arithmetic. Practise waits, elapsed travel time and transfers. Check the service day before calculating anything.
- Day 5 — local knowledge or job scenarios. Follow the subjects named in your notice. For landmarks, verify the street from a reliable source. For scenarios, avoid inventing agency policies.
- Day 6 — one timed session. Use original practice questions and the permitted tools. Afterwards, classify mistakes and review the explanation for every error.
- Day 7 — light review and logistics. Check the appointment details, travel plan and required documents. Review recurring errors rather than cramming unfamiliar topics.
Keep a small error log
Use four columns: question topic, what I missed, correct reasoning and next practice action. “Wrong direction; read the destination first” is more useful than recording only a score. Repeat a short exercise after understanding the mistake.
Choose a city resource
Our directory separates free local guides from the cities with paid TransitPrep packs. The free guides link to official agencies. Paid packs offer additional practice for the listed city; they do not register you for an employer’s test or guarantee a result.
